Soon, you'll be able to find the Choices stamp on foods and drinks all around the world from Unilever, and also, increasingly from other food companies.

A universal, trusted stamp

The Choices stamp is appearing on foods and drinks that meet nutritional criteria based on internationally-accepted dietary advice. The Choices stamp is unique in that it is the first stamp for healthy options that can be applied globally and across food industries. Other food manufacturers, caterers and retailers are increasingly using it. Making a joint effort will help you to easily select healthy options at a glance across the full range of food products.

Choices stamp explained

The Choices stamp is easy to see and understand. It's a blue circle featuring a big blue tick with a golden sun rising over it – the ultimate symbol of vitality. It says 'My Choice' in bold letters, with the assurance that it is 'Based on international dietary guidelines'. You'll also find extra, simple to understand nutritional information on the back of the pack plus a website reference.

Maintaining standards & integrity

An international governing body is being established, including an independent scientific committee, to oversee the use of the Choices stamp and ensures the benchmarks continue to be nutritionally sound. We're already applying this model in the Netherlands, Belgium and the Czech Republic, where the Choices Programme has been introduced in partnership with other companies.

The future

At Unilever, all our newly created foods and drinks are now routinely tested against the qualifying criteria. As a result, more and more products will feature the Choices stamp. So look out for the stamp. It's the best way of giving you clear, simple, consistent and correct information on nutrition.
