All-over radiance
We've all been told how important it is to take care of our skin – from staying out of the sun to choosing the right cosmetics and implementing a daily cleansing regime. But while we spend time and money looking after our faces, the skin on the rest of the body can get neglected. Here's how to get yours glowing…
Skin needs hydration to look its best, and that starts from the inside. Ensure you drink plenty of fresh water throughout the day – some beauty gurus recommend two litres – to keep a clear, healthy complexion.
Lavish lather
In the bath or shower, choose moisture-rich cleansers, such as indulgent options from the Dove Supreme Cream Oil range. Washing with these moisturising lotions is an easy way to give your skin maximum nourishment with minimal effort.
For really smooth results, exfoliate two or three times a week, using a textured sponge or loofah. You'll soon see those rough patches disappear.
Targeted moisture
Make time after drying off to smooth in some moisturiser, paying particular attention to your knees, elbows and heels – areas which can be particularly prone to dryness.
While facial moisturisers tend to be lightweight, skin on the rest of the body requires something more creamy, so make sure you've got the right products and rub them in with a firm massaging action. Regular massage to the thighs has even been known to help shift stubborn cellulite so it's worth a try!
Glow safely
A tan can look good but it's not worth chancing your health for, and skin cancer is a serious risk if you're a sun worshipper. Instead opt for tinted moisturisers or self-tan products such as Dove Summer Glow which gradually builds up a golden colour to suit your skin tone over time, giving a natural result that's 100% safe.
